Sun Star Self Storage’s lot is not paved but instead we use crushed stone.

Sun Star Self Storage uses Comprehensive Security Measures such as Onsite security, Digital video surveillance and Full perimeter fencing.

If your vehicle is not a car, truck, box truck, RV, trailer, boat, semi truck or long trailer, call us to discuss your unique storage needs.
9. Can I park my car hauler (or vehicle) in my space while I'm on the road with my semi-truck?
Yes, this is allowed as long as the length of the vehicle or car hauler does not exceed the space rented.

Yes, Sun Star Self Storage offers 24/7 gate access to the storage lot using a unique gate pass code for each customer.
11. Is there an on-site manager or attendant during business hours?
No, there is no on-site manager or attendant at Sun Star Self Storage during business hours.
12. What are your payment options (cash, credit card, etc.)?
The payment options at Sun Star Self Storage are Visa, Mastercard and American Express. No cash payment is allowed.
13. Do you require proof of insurance for stored vehicles?
Sun Star Self Storage does not require proof of insurance but does require a copy of your driver’s license.

Minor maintenance or repairs is okay but no oil changes or repairs that use chemicals, oils, solvents or any liquids for repairs.

Generally, there are no height restrictions but there is a length of restriction of approximately 80 feet long.
18. Do you have dump stations or other amenities for RVs?
No, Sun Star Self Storage does not provide dump stations or other amenities for RV customers.
19. Is there a waiting list or reservation system for storage spaces?
There is a waiting list and reservation system in place if Sun Star Self Storage is completely full. You will sign up for the waiting list and it is first come first serve.
20. What are your business hours and holiday schedules?
There is no on-site office. All paying customers receive a unique gate access code to access the secure lot 24 hours a day. If you need to speak to a live representative, we are available Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm. We do have an after-hours voicemail system to leave messages that we return the next day.

Sun Star Self Storage does not offer additional services like towing or vehicle transport.

No hazardous cargo, no illegal contraband and no illegal activity associated with your trailer or cargo.

It is recommended to not store personal belongings or equipment in your stored vehicles.
24. Do you have any policies regarding abandoned or derelict vehicles?
We work with every customer to the best that we can as long as you communicate your circumstances with us. However, we are a for-profit business so any vehicle that is abandoned and past due, will need to be removed.

The process at Sun Star Self Storage for checking in is very simple. Go to the Pricing page and follow the instructions on How To Rent A Space or if during business hours, just call 281-524-3111 and we will handle it over the phone for you.
28. Are there any specific rules for your storage lot?
Yes, Sun Star Self Storage has specific rules such as but not limited to:
Every Customer is required to park straight in the correct designated parking space and lock the vehicle. All responsibility for damage to property including vehicles, or persons is assumed by the customer. There will be No heavy mechanical work done, No Oil Changes or Hazardous Materials on the storage site. The speed limit is 5 miles per hour.
